A Mexican-American actor, Michael Trevino was originally from Mexico and was raised in California. His early career included roles in Summerland, Charmed and Cold Case, before landing starring roles in television films such as Cow Belles and Love Finds a Home as well as The Factory.
After struggling to find his feet for some time, he landed a main role in The CW’s The Vampire Diaries; he worked alongside Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev, portraying Tyler Lockwood. He then reprised the role for The Originals and has won two Teen Choice Awards for Male Scene Stealer as well as holding two nominations for an ALMA Award where he was nominated for Favourite TV Actor in a supporting role. He will be starring in the film Out of Control, scheduled for release in 2018.
