Matchbox Twenty is a pop band formed in 1996 in Orlando, Florida. In the same year, they released their debut album Yourself or Someone Like You. The band is made up of Kyle Cook, Paul Doucette, Rob Thomas, and Brian Yale. Their single ” Push” climbed the charts and even received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Vocal Performance in 1998. Rolling Stone’s annual reader’s poll named Matchbox Twenty as Best New Band and the tracks “3AM” and “Back 2 Good” also gained popularity. The group released another album, Mad Season, in 2000 followed by More Than You Think You Are which includes the song Unwell, in 2002. In 2012, the group released the album North. In the same year, the band released the single She’s So Mean.
