Mastodon is a rock band which was formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1999. The group is made up of Brent Hinds, Brann Dailor, Troy Sanders, and Bill Kelliher.
In 2006, the group released Blood Mountain which peaked at No. 32 in the Billboard Charts. One of the tracks from the album, Colony of Birchmen, received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2007.
