Mary Stuart Masterson is an American television, movie, and theatre actress and director born June 28, 1966, in New York City, New York, USA. Stuart Masterson is mostly known for playing in movies Some Kind of Wonderful (1987), Chances Are (1989), and Immediate Family (1989). Stuart Masterson started her career as a child actress when she was only 10 years of age. Her first performance included acting alongside her father, Peter Masterson in The Stepford Wives (1975). Between the ages of 10 and 15, the young actress devoted her time to school and education, after which she started acting in the theatre. She appeared on Broadway, acting in a production of Alice in Wonderland. Stuart Masterson's return to movies began with a role in Catholic Boys (1985). After that, she recorded numerous roles in prominent movies and television shows such as Benny & Joon (1993), alongside the superstar Johnny Depp, Bad Girls (1994) alongside Andie MacDowell and Drew Barrymore. Her television appearances include Something the Lord Made (2004), an HBO TV movie as well as 11 episodes of Blindspot (2017), where Stuart Masterson played the role of FBI Director Eleanor Hirst.
