MaRLo is the stage name of the Dutch trance DJ and record producer called Marlo Hoogstraten. He was born on September 1, 1993, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In an interview, MaRLo has explained that he has chosen the characteristic mid-name capitalization as a way to prevent any further mistakes being made by radio stations that continuously had introduced him as Mario. In 2010, he moved to Australia to continue his career as a professional DJ and was voted number 1 Best Trance DJ and number two overall DJ in Australia in Inthemix’s Top 50 DJ Poll. MaRLo has performed at many festivals, among which is the well-known Tomorrowland. He has collaborated with many famous artists such as Piotr, First State, Julie Thompson, and many others.
