She also appeared in the film Matilda and the film Thomas and the Magic Railroad, both of which were a commercial success. For her role in Matilda, she has won the Young Star Award. In 2016, Mara Wilson published her first book called Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame. She also has her own storytelling show called What Are You Afraid Of?
