Majical Cloudz was a Canadian electro pop music band composed of Devon Welsh, Matthew Otto and Matthew E. Duffy. Welsh and Duffy started the band performing at local venues between rural Ontario and Montreal, and by releasing a cassette followed by the EP “Earth to a Friend/Mountain Eye”. They released their debut album “II” in 2011. Otto joined the band in 2012, and they soon released the EP “Turns, Turns, Turns”. The group’s second album titled “Impersonator” was released under Matador Records, in 2013. It got nominated for a Polaris Music Prize. In 2015, the band released their third album “Are You Alone?”, which got nominated for a Juno Award. The next year, the group released the EP “Wait And See”, which features Owen Pallett as a collaborator. In 2016, Welsh and Otto released what would be their last album together “Are You Alone?”. They have collaborated with artists like Claire Boucher, a.k.a. Grimes.
