Alessandro Mahmoud, known professionally as his stage name Mahmood, was Italy’s 2019 Eurovision Song Contest contestant and performed ‘Soldi’. He has also participated in Sanremo Giovani, where he went on to win after performing ‘Soldi’, which he wrote and produced with Dardust and Charlie Charles. This went on to become a mega hit in Italy, going platinum and hitting the number one spot in all top Italian charts including those on Spotify and the Spotify Global Top 50, Apple Music and iTunes. Since, he collaborated on the hit ‘Nero Bali’ which went platinum, and co-wrote an album called ‘Atlantico’ alongside Marco Mengoni. He also released the single ‘Doppio Whisky’. He released his full Gioventù Bruciata album, and it debuted as number one in the FIMI/GFK Albums Chart. Mahmoud was born in Milano in 1992 and is part Italian and part Egyptian. He was born on September 12, 1992.
