Lucy Rose is an English singer, songwriter, and musician born in Camberley, Surrey, England on June 20, 1989. While in high school, she played drums in her school orchestra and would sing and write songs on her family’s piano. She bought a guitar at 16 years old and taught herself how to play. At 18 years old she moved to London and started performing with other musicians. Rose provided backing vocals on Jack Steadman’s acoustic album Flaws and Bombay Bicycle Club’s third and fourth albums, A Different Kind of Fix and So Long, See You Tomorrow. In 2012 she was signed with the record label Columbia Records and released her debut studio album titled Like I Used To. The album reached number 13 on the UK Albums chart and number 90 on the Ireland Albums chart. That same year she started touring in the UK, Canada, and the United States with Bombay Bicycle Club and Noah and the Whale. Rose has also released the albums Work It Out, Something’s Changing, Something’s Changing (Remixes), and No Words Left. In 2016 she released the live album Live at Urchin Studios.
