Lotus Plaza is an indie rock band and solo project of Lockett James Pundt IV. He is an American multi-instrumentalist, best known for being the guitarist of indie rock band Deerhunter. Pundt was born on the 7th of October, 1982, in Marietta, Georgia, U.S. His debut album as Lotus Plaza, “The Floodlight Collective”, was released in 2009. He spent two years recording the album and it was produced by Nudge’s member, Brian Foote. Pundt has said that the musical influences for his album were bands like Stereolab and My Bloody Valentine. The album succesfuly mixes shoegaze sounds with dreamy vocals. In 2012, he released his second album “Spooky Action At A Distance” which marked a change in his sound, adding electro-pop rhythms to his signature style. In 2014, he released the EP “Overnight Motorcycle Music”.
