Martin Stääf, popularly known as Liquid Stranger, is a DJ, musician, songwriter, producer, remixer, and studio engineer born on November 13, 1978, in Varberg, Sweden. He is also known as Bloatsucher, Hectopascal, Necton, Rhoca, Plantman, or Slugger. He is associated with Interchill Records, Spirit Zone Recordings, Candy Mind records, Adversion Recordings, System Recordings, Rottun Recordings, etc.
His genres include downtempo, dubstep, and drum and bass. In 2003, he launched the Liquid Stranger project to aggregate his musical output under one name. His first song, Environmental Meltdown, using the name was featured on the compilation Global Psychedelic Chill Out – Compilation Vol. 4 by Spirit Zone Recordings.
His discography includes Balance LP (2022), Ascension EP (2020), Infinity LP (2019), Polarity EP (2018), Weird & Wonderful EP (2017), Anomaly: The Collection (2015), and so on. From July to September 2022, he will be playing at the Global Dance Festival, Lollapalooza, Concord Music Hall, Moonrise Festival, Ever After Music Festival, Elements Music & Arts Festival, and Wakaan Music Festival.
