Lily Allen, or Lily Rose Beatrice Cooper was born on the 2nd of May, 1985 in England. The singer and songwriter is known internationally for her professional stage name Lily Allen. In 2005, she published some songs on MySpace that eventually led to her gaining public attention and sign a contract with Regal Recordings.
Her first hit “Smile” became the number one hit on the UK Singles Chart in 2006 and an international hit. Her album, “Alright, Still,” sold more than two and a half million copies and got her nominations for the Grammy Awards, the Brit Awards, and the MTV Video Music Awards.
Her second album “It’s Not Me, It’s You” debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and included hit single “Fuck You”. This album brought her a Brit Award for British Female Solo Artist in 2010. In 2011 she launched a record label “In The Name Of” and has since released two albums, Sheezus (2014) and “No Shame” (2018).
