Lexi, also known as Lexi Allen, is the stage name of Alexis Marie Nucklos-Allen, an American gospel singer, songwriter and musician, besides having a parallel career as an actress, comedian and television personality. She was born on the 2nd of October, 1967, in Columbus, Ohio, U.S. She began singing as a child in the choir of her grandfather’s church. She began her career singing back vocals for the likes of Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Fred Hammond and Gerald Levert. In 2002, she released her debut album “Lexi & That’s The Way It Is” through Real Deal Records. Two years later, she released the album “A Praise in The Valley” which was nominated for a Stellar Gospel Music Award. In 2006, she took a hiatus of her musical career, as she started hosting a television show “The Lexi Show” She returned to music in 2012, releasing the album “Phenomenal” through Malaco Music Group.
