DJ LeSoul, whose real name is Nonkululeko (Precious) Mdlalose, was born and raised in KwaMashu, Durban. A preacher’s daughter, she found her love for music at church as an instrumentalist for the choir. After watching a DJ performing at a local club, she decided to explore the genre, learning from many artists. This led to a career as a music producer and Deejay. Her first show came in 2018 at the event, The Block Party, alongside DJ Black Coffee. She traveled to New York and Turkey where she received immense appreciation from the audience. She has collaborated with artist BlaqRhythm to release the single, ‘Godly infection,’ that the audience responded to enthusiastically. She is known for being one of the 9 DJs selected for The Redbull Dubane Connect which was a collaborative project released on digital platforms. She has also worked as a radio presented Gagasi FM for many years before resigning in 2022 as a result of an extremely busy schedule.
