Laurell is the stage name of the Canadian pop singer Laurell Barker. She was born in North Vancouver, Canada on April 20, 1979. In 2010 she released her debut studio album titled Can’t Stop Falling with Pacific Music and Warner. The album won a Western Canadian Music Award for Pop Album of the Year. The title track of the album, “Can’t Stop Falling” reached number 8 on the Canadian AC Charts and number 15 on the Canadian HOT AC Chart. It also won 1st place in the Billboard World Song Contest and won CHUM Radio’s Emerging Indie Artists Initiative. She was nominated for single of the year at the Canadian Radio Music Awards. In 2013 she released the single “Unbreakable” that reached number 36 on both the Canadian AC and Canadian Hot AC Charts.
