Lainey Wilson is an American singer, songwriter, and musician who writes and performs country music. She was born in Baskin, Louisiana, United States, on May 19, 1992. Lainey began her music career in 2011, and she released her debut eponymous studio project Lainey Wilson in 2014. Her discography includes the hit singles Things A Man Oughta Know, Dirty Looks, Rolling Stone, Straight Up Sideways, and the albums Sayin’ What I’m Thinking and Tougher. Lainey’s music was featured on the album New Country Christmas alongside fellow artists Taylor Swift, Darren Chris, Troye Sivan, and Carrie Underwood. She received a CMT Music Awards nomination for Breakthrough Video of the Year.
