Kristine “KZ” Tandingan (born March 11, 1992) born in Digos City, Philippines is a Filipino singer and rapper known for her win on the X Factor Philippines’ first season in 2012. The 27 year old singer was awarded Best New Artist in 2013 at the 26th Awit Awards. KZ released her self titled album ‘KZ’ in 2013 featuring her hit single ‘Scared to Death’. She has made many popular songs amongst Filipinos such as ‘Darating Din’ and ‘Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako’ off her second album released in 2017 titled ‘Soul Supremacy’. Her single ‘Two Less Lonely People in The World’ is the most popular, which landed at the number 2 spot on the Philippine Hot 100 in 2017. She then continued to participate in more singing competitions in the Philippines such as Your Face Sounds Familiar (Season 2) in 2015 and We Love OPM in 2016. Musical-variety show ASAP formed an R&B group called ASAP Soul Sessions where KZ was featured among popular Filipino artists such as Jay R and Kayla. KZ made her international debut with her powerhouse vocals when she joined a Chinese singing competition “The Singer 2018” where she performed in the finals with international popstar Jessie J and Coco Lee. She is currently in an all-female group called DIVAS with Kyla, Yeng Constantino and Angeline Quinto who performed their first arena concert in 2016 and their second major concert with Boyz II Men, both in Manila, Philippines.
