KIRBY (who’s also known as Kirby Lauryen or Kirby Dockery) is an American singer, songwriter and musical artist who was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.

Kirby initially tasted fame as a songwriter in the mid-2010s as she earned major writing credits for major acts like Kanye West, Paul McCartney and Beyonce. She launched her solo career with popular singles like Loved by You (2016), Vain (2017) and Kool Aid (2019). Her full length debut appeared in 2020 as Sis. The next year she released her sophomore Sis. He Wasn’t the One. Kirby appeared on Hit-Boy’s 2021 single Back in Traffic and also on Sam Dew’s 2021 album Moonlit Fools.
