About Kingdom Heirs
Kingdom Heirs is the name of the American gospel music group, founded in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in 1971. Original members included Patty Wilson, Jim Bluford, Gene McKinney, Raymond Parker, and Gary Bilyeu. Tom Bailey and Mike Shuemaker were added later. Between 1972 and 1982, the group grew in popularity with multiple television, radio, church, and concert appearances from Michigan to Florida. They started to appear with other gospel celebrities like Wendy Bagwell, Jerry Goff, The Kingsmen, The Hinsons, Wagon Gang, The Hemphills, The Cathedrals, The Nelons, The Singing Cookes, The Primitive Quartet and many more. In 1979 they obtained a trademark for the Kingdom Heirs name at the behest of promoter Rev. J. Bazzell Mull, and removed the term “new” from the group's name and began recording and appearing as The Kingdom Heirs. The Kingdom Heirs' rise expanded to a total of 12 members.
