Khaled Hadj Ibrahim (who’s popularly known as Khaled) is an Algerian singer and musician who was born on February 29, 1960 in Oran, Algeria. He was born and raised in Oran. He married Samira Diabi in 1995 and has five children with her.

Khaled rose to fame as the King of Rai for his work in the rai subgenre of folk music. He has released many viral songs including Didi, and he has sold over 80 million albums worldwide. At the age of fourteen, he had founded the band Cinq Etoiles. The title track in his 2012 album C’est la Vie broke iTunes downloads records in Europe and Canada. He collaborated with Mylene Farmer on his La Poupee Qui Fait Nontrack which featured on his 1997 live album Live a Bercy.
