Keshia-Chanté Harper, popularly known as, Keshia Chanté is a Canadian R&B singer, songwriter, actress, and television host. She was born on June 16, 1988, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Chanté began pursuing music actively at age 15. In 2004, She released a self-titled debut album with the earlier released chart-topping singles "Shook (The Answer)," "Unpredictable," and "Bad Boy" making it on the album. In the same year, Chanté received several Urban Music Awards.

Her "Bad Boy" music video received heavy rotation on the U.S. television network BET. In 2005, Chanté garnered more accolades, along with a 2005 JUNO Award for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year. Her dazzling growth and popularity caught the eyes and ears of Sony record execs, who gave her a record deal. Following the success of her first album, Chanté relocated from Toronto to New York City and began work on her second album, 2U. The album was eventually released in Canada in 2006 and the U.S. in 2007. In 2011, Chanté returned with her third studio album, the two-disc Night & Day, featuring the singles "Table Dancer" and "Test Drive."
