The athlete Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir was born on May 10, 1993, in Reykjavik, Iceland. A dedicated fitness instructor, she began her Crossfit journey in 2011 when she was just 18. By 2013, she had already made two impressive appearances in the Reebok CrossFit Games. In 2014, however, she placed sixth in the Europe regional, resulting in her non-qualification for the event that year. Treating the failure as a stepping stone rather than as a setback, she came back in full force the following year, beating all the competitors and winning that year’s crown. In 2016, she came back and was able to successfully defend her crown. She joined Annie Thorisdottir and Rich Froning as the only players to win the competition twice.
