Karol G is the stage name of the Colombian reggaeton singer and songwriter Carolina Giraldo Navarro. She was born in Medellin, Columbia on February 14, 1991. She is best known for her hit songs “Mi Cama”, “Ahora Me Llama”, and “Culpables.” As a teenager she participated in the talent competition show The X Factor. In 2006 she started using the stage name Karol G. She released her debut mixtape in 2013 titled Super Single. In 2017 she released her debut studio album titled Unstoppable through the label Universal Latin. The album charted at number 2 on the Billboard Latin Albums chart and number 192 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. It was certified double platinum by the RIAA and gold by the AMPROFON. In 2019 she released her second studio album titled Ocean, also through Universal Latin. The album charted at number 2 on the Billboard Latin Albums chart, number 54 on the Billboard 200 Album chart, and number 82 on the Spanish Albums chart.
