Junkie Kid is a Mexican electronic music producer and DJ born in Acapulco, Mexico. He is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Junkie Kid grew up listening to EDM DJs Mauro Picotto, DJ Quicksilver, and DJ Sammy. At 16 years old, he started producing music. One of his earliest tracks was the single “Perfect.” In 2013 he released his debut EP titled Check This EP with the label Audiophile Live Records. He became well known in 2014 after the release of the collaboration single “Krakatoa” with Carnage. Junkie Kid was quickly signed by several big name labels. In 2015 he started his own record label, Harsh Records. The label has released music for the artists Lady Faith, Riot Ten, Sullivan King, and more.
