Julie Oluwatoyin Chizodie Adenuga (born July 15, 1988 in London, England) is a British-Nigerian radio host, broadcaster and disc jockey, who rose to prominence as Beats 1 disc jockey and radio host.
She is the younger sister of the grime artist and record producers, Jme and Skepta. Julie joined the London community radio station, Rinse FM in 2010 before proceeding to present the drive time show. In 2014, she became the host of a music television show on Channel AKA and Dailymotion called “Play It”. She also hosted Vice Magazine’s online offshoot, Noisey’s, Grime Karaoke.
In 2015, Julie was introduced as the London headline host of Beats 1 radio as part of the Apple WWDC Keynote. In 2020, she founded the creative media house, Don’t Trust The Internet. The “DTTI” produces shows like Julie’s Top 5. She also co-hosted MTV’s Catfish UK: The TV Show, in 2021, alongside Oobah Butler. She left the show after one season.
Julie has been recognised for her effort and named in Forbes 30 under 30 and NME’s 500 Most Influential People in Britain. In 2020, Julie launched Don't Trust the Internet (DTTI), a creative media house that produces shows including Julie's Top 5.
