Judd Apatow was born on December 6, 1967 in New York, New York. One of his first jobs was as an assistant host for his high school’s radio station. The position gave him an opportunity to interview some of the greatest comedians of the time, including Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld. Apatow had a great interest in screenwriting and comedy, so he attended the University of Southern California. During his studying, he showed great talent and wrote material for some of the most popular shows at the time such as Roseanne and The Ben Stiller Show. He also wrote things for comedians Jim Carrey and Tom Arnold. He earned several Emmy nominations for his works on The Ben Stiller Show and The Larry Sanders Show. Apatow is also a producer, director, and screenwriter. In 1999, he created the series Freaks and Geeks and The Cable Guy. He has a part as a screenwriter or producer in numerous movies, such as Anchorman (2004), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Get Him to the Greek (2010), and Bridesmaids (2011). Other famous movies are The 40-Year Old Virgin (2005) and Knocked Up in 2007. His popular recent works include HBO’s Girls and fellow comedian Amy Schumer’sTrainwreck.
