He spent his developmental years playing for St. Kevin’s College and the NBA Global Academy. He turned professional in 2020 when he signed with the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian National Basketball league, and after declaring for the NBA Draft in 2021, he was selected by Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round. Throughout his career in Oklahoma, Josh played alongside Luguentz Dort, Isaiah Roby, Gabriel Deck, and Darius Bazley.
