Jonny Greenwood is an English musician and composer, born in Oxford, England on November 5, 1971. He is best known for being the lead guitarist and keyboardist of the rock band Radiohead. He is also known for composing film scores. Greenwood started playing instruments at four years old and by 18 years old he joined the Thames Vale youth orchestra. While in high school he helped form the band On a Friday. Three weeks into college, the band was signed to the label EMI and changed their name to Radiohead. Together they have released nine studio albums, one live album, four compilation albums, nine video albums, six EPs, and one remix album. The band has sold over 30 million records worldwide and in 2019 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As a solo artists Greenwood released his debut soundtrack album in 2003 titled Bodysong for the documentary of the same name. He has since released the soundtracks There Will Be Blood, Norwegian Wood, We Need to Talk About Kevin, The Master, Inherent Vice, You Were Never Really Here, and Phantom Thread. In 2015 he released the collaboration album Junun with Shye Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Express.
