Jimmy Fortune is a highly established and versatile American country music singer. Born on March 11, 1955, in Williamsburg, Virginia, United States, Fortune started his musical career performing with the legendary Statler Brothers as a tenor in 1982. He quickly cemented his success by writing many hit songs for the group including “Elizabeth”, “My Only Love” and “Too Much On My Heart” which were all number 1 country hits. He also wrote the top 10 country hits “Forever” and “More Than a Name on the Wall”. His career with the Statler Brothers spanning over 21 years came to an end in 2002 and Fortune started to perform as a solo artist attracting even more success. He released his album Hits & Hymns in collaboration with Ben Isaacs in 2015 which peaked top 10 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart while the DVD ranked number 1 on the Billboard Music Video chart.
