Jillian Michaels is an American personal trainer, author, and television personality born in Los Angeles, California on February 18, 1974. She is best known for her appearances on the NBC show The Biggest Loser. In 1993 she earned two personal training certificates from the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association and The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She is also Kettlebell Concepts certified. In 2002 she opened the sports medicine facility Sky & Spa in Beverly Hills. In 2004 she became a personal trainer on the reality television show The Biggest Loser and was on the show until 2010. In 2010 the show Losing It With Jillian, a spin-off of The Biggest Loser, debut on NBC. She has also made appearances on the show The Doctors. In 2016 the reality television show Just Jillian premiered on E!. As an author, Michaels has released a number of books, including Winning by Losing: Drop the Weight, Change Your Life, Making the Cut: The 30-Day Diet and Fitness Plan for the Strongest, Sexiest You, Master Your Metabolism Calorie Counter and others.
