Jason Thompson is a Canadian actor and former model born in St. Albert, Canada on November 20, 1976. He is best known for his role as Dr. Patrick Drake in the American drama General Hospital and its spin-off General Hospital: Night Shift. At 16 years old he was discovered by Kelly Streit of Mode Models while working at a restaurant in Edmonton, Alberta. He went on to do runway, print, and commercial modeling. After several years of a successful modeling career Thompson decided to switch his focus to acting. He has had roles in the films and television shows Divide, Wishmaster: The Prophecy Fulfilled, Felicity, Castle, Flipper, General Hospital, General Hospital: Night Shift, and The Young and the Restless. Throughout his career he has been nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards for his role on General Hospital.
