Jack River is the stage name of the Australian singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer Holly Rankin. She was born in Forster, Australia on December 19, 1991. Rankin is best known for her ARIA gold certified singles “Fool’s Gold” and “Sugar.” She released her debut EP in 2016 titled Highway Songs No. 2. In 2017 she started Electric Lady, a series of concerts and events that features only female performers. Throughout 2017 Rankin toured and released new music. In 2018 she released her debut studio album titled Sugar Mountain. The album charted at number 11 on the Australian Albums chart. River releases her music and albums through the label I Oh You. Throughout her career she has been nominated for three ARIA Music Awards and an APRA Awards.
