Icon for Hire is a rock band from Decatur, Illinois, United States. The band was formed in 2007 and consists of Ariel Bloomer (singer) and Shawn Jump (guitarist). The duo released two EPs independently and later signed with Tooth & Nail Records. They released their first album, “Scripted” in 2011 and “Icon for Hire” in 2013 under the label. In November 2016, they released a third album, titled “You Can’t Kill Us” independently.

Although they are not a Christian band, most of their songs have spiritual themes. From 2007 to 2009, the band released two EPs and toured extensively in the Midwest in an effort to grow their fan base. In 2015, they left Tooth & Nail. In October 2011, the band went to support the Christian rock band, Red, for their “Kill th3 Machin3” tour.
