Galina Vicheva Gencheva, widely known as Galena, is a singer born on May 21, 1985, in Smyadovo, Bulgaria. She is best known for her contributions to several genres, including pop, pop-folk, and folk. Her music career began at a young age, attending music schools in Shumen and Dimitrovgrad. She was discovered by renowned singer Milko Kalaydzhiev.
Galena performed as Galya, debuting with the single Можеш ли. She released her first studio album in 2006 via Payner Music. Her collaboration with Boris Dali on the song Намерих те garnered significant attention and success. Her singles, Знам диагнозата and Тихо ми пази, received Best Club Song and Preferred Song on Radio Veselina, respectively.
Galena won Best Young Performer in 2007 and 2008. She received the Female Artist of the Year in 2010 and the Album of the Year for Аз in 2011. In 2011, she was made Ambassador of Bulgarian Music Abroad. She has collaborated with artists like Preslava, Andrea, and Niki Nankov.
