FXXXY, with the birth name Maudell Ray Watkins, was an African-American born on, 16th June, 1995, in Dallas, Texas, United States. He was an undeniably talented young songwriter, musician, and producer.

He originally began to gain traction in 2016 when he released his self-produced EP, Cartel Shawty. This EP won him Earl Sweatshirt's endorsement and other collaborations.

FXXXY's major break came when he caught Future's attention and signed a publishing agreement with his Freebandz label in 2018. That same year, he was named one of Okayplayer's 18 Artists to Watch.

FXXXY's art was a reflection of his own limitless nuance - a blend of deep analysis and sensitivity, inspired by the cultural links of Houston, New Orleans, and his elders. He sought attraction in contrasts, drenched in designer profanity.
