Funkagenda is a British DJ and record producer, based in Birmingham. His real name is Adam Walde and he has performed under other stage names such as Jamodu, J.M. Project and J.Man. He was originally working with labels such as Azuli, Positiva, and Defected, before moving to become creative director of Funk Farm. In 2008, he won the Ibiza contest DJ’ Best Ibiza Track as well as the Beatport’s Best Tech House Track. He was also awarded as Ibiza’s DJ Best Newcomer, besides winning in the next year DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough DJ. He has performed all over the world, including in Poland, Romania, New York and Russia. He has produced for prominent electronic music artists such as Mark Knight, DJ Exacta and Trophy Twins.
