For the Fallen Dreams is an American metalcore band from Lansing, Michigan, that was formed in 2003 and consists of 3 members - Jim Hocking, Brandon Stastny, and Chad Ruhlig. The band was formed by Jim Hocking (lead guitar), Andrew Tkaczyk (drums), Aaron Long (vocals), Chris Croll (rhythm guitar), and Chris Ash (bass). Hocking and Tkaczyk were the staple band members for 2 years, while other positions were unstable staff-wise. In 2006, Chad Ruhlig (who was a brief bassist for them) joined the band as vocalist and the group created their first album called Changes. They released the album in 2008 and by that time the band became a trio. In 2009, the band released their second album Relentless, which became number 29 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers list. Since their second release and rise to prominence, the band released a number of creations such as albums Back Burner, Wasted Youth, Heavy Hearts, and Six, and toured with various prominent metal bands such as Wolves at the Gate, Killswitch Engage, Every Time I Die, and For Today.
