Field Music is an indie rock band fronted by the brothers David Brewis and Peter Brewis. Their line-up occasionally imports members from the bands Maxïmo Park and The Futureheads for touring gigs, and also includes Andrew Moore (keyboards). The band has retired to hiatus occasionally while the brothers work on solo projects, then reunited when they have material for a new album.
Field Music is signed on the Memphis Industries label and has released seven albums to date, with steadily higher placements on the UK Albums chart up to #30 for their most recent release, “Open Here.” Each of the brothers have also released solo albums with David forming a side band called School of Language. They tour periodically in the UK and US, occasionally getting a progressive urge to add in a string quartet.
