Faith No More is an American experimental rock and alternative metal band from San Francisco, California. The band formed in 1979 with band members Mike Morris on vocals, Billy Gould on bass, Mike Bordin on drums and Wade Worthington on the keyboard. The band began to record at Matt Wallace’s parent’s garage where he had been running a recording studio. The band made their first five-song release titled ‘We Care A Lot’ in 1985 and eventually, by 1986, were signed to Los Angeles record label Slash Records. In 1987, the band released their first official album, ‘Introduce Yourself’ with a reworked single ‘We Care A Lot’ from their first album. In 1989, the band released their third album, ‘The Real Thing’, which had been Grammy award nominated for Best Metal Performance. Faith No More then went on national tours and released their single, ‘Epic’ in 1990 which was also Grammy nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance. Faith No More then released ‘Angel Dust’ with their single, ‘A Small Victory’ which was nominated for Best Art Direction at the MTV Video Music Awards. Long after, the band released another album ‘King for A Day, Fool for a Lifetime’ in 1995. This was the last album before the band disbanded in 1998. After 11 years of silence, the band staged a reunion tour around the U.S. along with playing at festivals in Europe in 2009. Presently, the band is still actively touring the U.S. and is set for a global tour in Europe and Australia.
