Eric Johanson (who’s also known by the moniker Emptyself) is an American musical artist and producer who was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Eric earned a degree in Philosophy from the University of New Orleans.
Eric had begun honing his craft at the tender age of 5 when he learned how to play the guitar. By 12 years old he was already recording his own original rock project and in a year he was assisting in commercial studio recordings and learning production and mixing techniques. He formed Cire in 2001 with his friend Chris O'Guinn where the duo released 2 CDs, dropped Please Is Our Enemy in 2001 and Adrenological in 2003.
