Hailing from Seoul, South Korea, Epik High is an alternative hip-hop group. The three members consist of DJ Tukutz, Tablo (Daniel Armand Lee, born in 1980), and Mithra Jin (Choi Jin, born 1983). The group got together in 2001 and got their start in the underground hip hop scene in Korea. Their debut album “Map of the Human Soul” was released in 2003. Their sophomore album “High Society” was released just a year later to dismal reviews. In what was supposed to be their final album, 2005’s “Swan Song” became a mainstream success. Their single “Fly” quickly became number one across domestic charts and was used on various video game soundtracks. Epik High has since released nine studio albums. In 2018 they left their label YG Entertainment and signed with William Morris Endeavor in 2019.
