Megastar Elton John is a British singer, songwriter and composer internationally known for a wide range of work that has sold over 300 million records. He has also composed for the Tony-Award-winning musical “Billy Elliot”. His first album, from the 70s, was an immediate success and it included hits like “Crocodile Rock”. He is also known for hits like “Tiny Dancer”, for having composed the entire score for “Billy Elliot”, which went on to win 10 different Tony Awards, and for composing for movies like “The Lion King”, including classics like “The Circle of Life”. He has been both knighted and included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with both events taking place in the 90s. This year, John and musical partner Taupin won a Golden Globe for best original song with Rocketman’s “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” and later an Academy Award for it for best original song. John decided to stop touring in 2018 to spend more time with his family.
