Comprised of brothers Noah, Graham, and Jamie Seriota, along with their sister Sydney, Echosmith is a California based quartet that was formed in early 2009. The musically-inclined family members had been performing for years before they got serious about their career, and all of them contribute to the song-writing process of the group. Sydney, their sister, provides vocals and plays the keyboard, Noah is on vocals and bass, Graham is on drums, and Jamie is also on vocals and guitar. The quartet signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2012, and were fortunate enough to work with producer Mike Elizondo, who is also behind some of the work put out by Tegan and Sara as well as Maroon 5.
That June, the band released their debut single “Tonight We’re Making History”, which was featured as one of the promotional ads on NBC for the Summer Olympics. Their 2013 single “Come Together” was aired on YouTube and raked in hundreds of thousands of views in a short period of time. Right before the 2013 release of their debut album, the band exposed the Summer Sampler Free Download on their website, allowing fans to download three songs off the album for free. The album Talking Dreams was released in October 2013, after which they were named by MTV as one of the 2014 Artists to Watch.
