Earl, also known as Kate Earl and born Kate Smithson in Alaska is an American singer and songwriter. As a young child EARL began playing piano at four and sung in her church choir, later learning to play the guitar. Moving to Los Angeles in 2004 she was immediately picked up by a major label and dropped her debut album Fate Is the Hunter.

With four albums released thus far, Earl’s music is a mix of pop and electro with an underlying gospel and jazz sound that is unmistakable. Recently joining the Go Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty on tour, she followed this up by opening for Rick Astley on his UK tour in 2017. Some of her most notable music includes One Woman Army, Good Witch, and We Promised and more recently the hit song Tongue Tied
