Born in 1965, Dr. Dre (André Romell Young) is a rap artist and producer from Compton, California. Dr. Dre began his career in music writing songs with Ice Cube for Ruthless Records in 1986. Shortly after, Dr. Dre formed the rap group N.W.A. with Ice Cube, Eazy-E MC Ren, and DJ Yella and released the hit album “Staight Outta Compton”. Dr. Dre would leave the group in 1992 to form his own record label Death Row Records, producing a collaborative single “Deep Cover” with Snoop Dogg as well as his first album “The Chronic”. He would go on to discover rap star Eminem in 1999. While the multi-Grammy winning artist would go on to focus more on producing and managing other artists, he would still find time to release his album “Compton” in 2015.
