Michael Baba Tunde Adeyinka, better known by his stage name DJ Tunez, is a DJ and music producer born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, to Nigerian parents. He got his start as a DJ when he would DJ for his local church’s Christmas parties. Through word of mouth, Tunez would become the go-to DJ in his tight-knit African community. The reception from his community inspired him to create his own parties that would incorporate Afrobeat and African music. One of those parties turned into the annual Blackout, an event that focuses on Afrobeat. In 2015, the Nigerian star Wizkid asked Tunez to join Starboy Entertainment and become his official DJ. He has also collaborated with artists like Wande Coal, Sarz, and Flash. In 2016, Tunez released his first original single, Iskaba. In 2021, he released his EP, All You Need, which features J. Anthoni.
