DJ Lord is the stage name for the American DJ and turntablist Lord Aswod, born in Savannah, Georgia on March 11, 1975. His musical career was catapulted in 1999 when he joined the world tour of the iconic hip hop group Public Enemy replacing Terminator X. DJ Lord's musical style has influences from hip hop, dubstep, electro, dancehall and drum & bass. Aswod has toured alongside Flavor Flav in several collaborations. He has also performed with Trill Bass and rock band Confrontation Camp. He is a member of the group Prophets of Rage, a rap rock supergroup. Aswod has participated in major events around the world such as the Grammy Awards or the Glastonbury Festival. In 2019, he performed alongside Cypress Hill on the band’s West Coast Tour.
