Over the years, we’ve had many great players grace the Nation Football league (NFL), but Derrick seems to be different. The talented footballer was born on the 4th of January, 1994, in Yulee, Florida.
Before he went fully into American Football, Yulee represented his high school in track, football and basketball events, where he performed fantastically well.
He continued his excellent form at Alabama University, where he broke the long-standing record of Herschel Walker. As expected, he clinched several personal awards like the Maxwell Award, Doak Walker Award and many others.
Later on, Derrick got drafted into the NFL in 2016, playing as a running back.Â
Unsurprisingly, the running back came top in running and touching yards for two consecutive seasons (2019 & 2020), becoming the 8th player in NFL to achieve that feat.
The player is nicknamed king Henry due to his hefty stature. In 2020, he was named the Associative Press Nation Football League offensive player of the year.
