Deno Michael Mebrahitu, better known as Deno or Deno Driz, is a rapper and social media star born on September 23, 2002, in London, England. He first became known for his viral Instagram video of him freestyling and doing an impromptu cover of Geko’s Over and Under. His viral videos caught the attention of rapper Stormzy, who invited Deno to feature on his album, Gang Signs & Prayer.
He jumped to fame later that same year when he collaborated with famous rapper Cadet in the song titled “Advice”, which went viral with over 30 million reproductions on YouTube and reaching #14 on the UK Singles Chart. He released his first EP called Eye 2 Eye in 2019 and his first full length album titled Boy Meets World in 2021. He has also received support from artists like Ed Sheeran and Chris Brown. He joined forces with another rapper to create the duo AJ x Deno. The two released the hit single London featuring EO in 2018. In 2021, he released his mixtape, Boy Meets World, which debuted at number 31 in the UK Chart. Some other of his most successful songs are “Self-Obsessed”, “Gang Gang” and “Baby”.
