DEHD is a trio rock band made up of Jason Balla and Emily Kempf who created the band and of Eric McGrady who later on integrated the band as a drummer. Emily does the bass and vocal and Balla the singing and guitar playing. The band was formed in 2015. They (Jason Balla and Emily Kempf) sang about their own love story and later about thinking and being friends. The energy when these two sings is palpable and the fact that McGrady is a first-time drummer adds a little something to the band. The Chicago band released their first album in 2016 via the label Maximum Pelt. In 2017 the album Fire of love was released, followed by more albums in 2019 - Fire Talk and Flower of Devotion in 2020.
